Welcome

This is the homepage of myself, Ingo Ruhnke, it is still under development and constantly broken. If you don't like it you can also try my old webpage, but it is unmainted since 1998. If you want to have a look at a picture of myself, one photo of myself is available here

If you are still there I'll tell you a bit more about myself. After I was born in 1979 in Bielefeld I went to school for some years and in 1998 I made my abitur and left school. I wasted the next year the german army in the medical service. I didn't like the german army at all, but well, thats german law. Back from the army and back to real life, I am now studying computer science at the university of Bielefeld.

In my spare time I writte some more or less usefull pieces of free software, most of the time games or Script-Fu's. One of my bigger projects and more interessting project is Pingus, which is a Lemmings clone, with very nice graphics. Another project which I have just started is Advent, the rebirth of Retriever, which is basically an graphical adventure game development kit. And their is also Feuerkraft, a multiplayer tank battle game with caputre the flag modes, etc. For more details see the gamedesign page.

When I am completly crazy I also write tutorials, but thats a thing, which I am completly unable to do, so that doesn't happen very often. Never the less, the results are two textes, one is the Linux Games Install And Directory Guide, a complete stupid and error prune text about following the FHS in games and a tutorial of writing script-fu for Gimp, which might be even helpfull, if you are allready familar with Scheme.

Another hobby of myself are graphics, I am not really good at it, but I like painting, especially with The Gimp. Some of the results are available at my Gfx page. For work-in-progress stuff have a look at my tmp/ directory, I upload some unsorted stuff there from time to time.

Oh, btw. I am running Debian GNU/Linux at home and I am currently trying to build some packages. You can find the results here
